Published by Tall Poppy Press and by Queer Love Collective, Nobody Knows I’m Gay is the first book collecting the work of pioneering photographer C.Moore Hardy. Focusing on C.Moore’s documentation of the lesbian community in Sydney throughout the 1970s, 80s and 90s, the book encompasses C.Moore’s warmth, community, humour and continued political activism.

This book simultaneously preserves and celebrates LGBTQIA+ histories; protests, parties, and profound memories, ensuring these untold stories are visible and valued within Australia’s art history. C.Moore’s images cement a future recognition of our diverse communities’ that shaped our LGBTQIA+ lives today, as creatives and activists.

The book includes a foreword by C.Moore herself, an essay by Dr Fiona Kelly McGregor and a further piece of writing by Tiger Salmon and Gabe Tejada.

A portion of each sale goes towards supporting queer artists, writers, and our friends at the Australian Queer Archives.
